Tis the Season...

Tra la la la and all that.

Ok it has been an age since I blogged... apologies. This however is gonna be really higgeldy piggeldy.

First of all I wanted to start on a serious note. I know that being in the UK we're all very far away from whats happening over in Aus. But as we're sitting here hearing all these accounts of the riots in Sydney, and they sound bloody awful, I'm continuing to get these nationalistic emails from various people in Australia about us not bending and it not being 'US' who needs to adapt to different cultures and so on. I'm not going to go into it too much, because I'm not there and its not really my place. But would people ever stop and think, before they forward on these emails to everyone in their address book. Believe me there are more awful things that can happen in life than a country having to embrace different cultures and accept slight changes to the country which I'm willing to bet actually does not affect their lives one iota.

anyway sermon delivered. On to the important stuff.

Its been pretty crazy over here lately building up to Christmas and all that. We have our tree up and it only has two legs the poor little thing, and it is rather small... and admittedly I have been stealing baubles from people's houses with which to decorate it. But it is the best tree I have ever had.

We just wont speak of the mouldy underpants that we found in the cupboard along with the tree.

We have now dubbed Carrie the Terminator of drinking, simply because nothing seems to stop her when she is on a roll. We went to a neighbours house party on a Friday not too long ago, and at half past three in the morning, when I was so drunk I was sliding down the wall, I knew it was time to cut my losses and go home. Not our Caz, after walking us back next door and chatting for a while then bounces back in to the party , off her face, but still completely able to stand straight and function. I'm telling you it was scary. However the outcome the next day was this:

I wont go into how Carrie ended up at the top of the stairs, but lets just say it involved an elaborate plan to make her sick. At this time Maz had come back from her travels in Europe and was dossing with Caz until she went back home. So here is a pic with our partner in crime during those troubled times:

As you can see I have cut off all my hair! Its all gone, but I actually quite like it, change is as good as a holiday they tell me.

In other news, in the spirit of Xmas I went on a pub crawl last weekend for charity. Drinking for charity is always good. It was a Santa Claus pub crawl whereby everyone dressed up as Santa and went through the pubs of Westminster. It was one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen, the pubs and streets full of like 400 santa's. I don't have any pics of me there yet, I'm waiting for them to get sent to me, but heres an idea of how it all looked!

It was great fun. I know that they do one in Melbourne as well, highly recommend it. There were many disturbed children that night wondering why there were hundreds of santas stumbling through the city...

And so in conclusion..

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
