Something of a Quandry

So I have set myself a rough date for coming home and I have decided that it will be in April or May of this year. At this stage I don't think I am going to stay here for the summer.

And I am so so looking forwards to coming home, I cannot wait to be in Perth again and spoil myself with all the things I can't have over here.

But I'm already starting to freak out about leaving London. I love my lifestyle over here so much. Its a strange thing to want to be in two places at the same time for completely different reasons.

Its the right time to come home and I know that, but I'm so used to my life here.

So I find myself in something of a quandry.

On Monday night for example I went out for an Indian with a group of friends I have met whilst over here and at the end of the night, I was out the back, freezing my arse off, drinking room temparature champagne from the bottle and talking absolute nonsense.

Whilst I agree its not the right way to start my week, who will partake in such pointless debauchery with me when I get back to Perth???

Who I ask you!?!?!?

pffft go on then.. stay with yer pommy mates then :P all your memories of slothy perth and the slothy people who live here have obviously been over looked *whimper*
i may not drink room temperature champagne often but i do drink as many glasses of wine as possible every night of a week. in my household there need be no reason to have a glass or two or five any night of the week or even in the mornings for that fact.. it would actually be a sin not to. 9am on saturdays is actually bourbon time :-)
i also have proof that i have had on the odd occasion had to drink straight from the champagne bottle, classy we all know but alas you will not be alone when you come home.
i've said my peace.. now where's my drink?

Jenn dude, you kill me, I actually believe we're owed quite a few champagne drinking occasions you and I!

I am safely reassured that weekday shenangigans are not a thing of the past,
    Hurrah!

It looks like someone (jk) seems to have forgotten about Tuesday nite wine night we used to celebrate sometime ago which entailed turning up to someones place with a bottle of wine, getting smashed and chelsea taking her pants off .... now those nites were good times!

Plenty a weeknights drinking to come :)

Totally feel your pain. My heart is in two places too and also for totally different reasons. Perth is home to all things familiar and comfortable and where most of the people we love reside but London is so exciting and has so much to offer (not to mention the traveling opportunities).

I don't however think you'll find it too hard to find someone to go out to dinner and drink with on a Monday night. A weekend trip to Dublin might be outa the question though.

p.s. Why doesn't 'anonymous' want to own their comment?
