ummm Venice??

Ok so traditionally speaking I should probably be posting and talking about Contiki in some sort of sequential order. However to be fair I didn't know where I was and what day it was for most of the month anyway, I don't see why you lot should be any luckier!

Also (and more to the point) the only photos I have to hand are from my time in Venice.

Venice was our first stop off after Corfu and by this time we are well into the last two weeks of the tour and all far too friendly with each other. We all have stunning tans, but most of the group are now deathly sick and we all have our beer babies. Much to our delight it rained throughout our time in Venice which just goes to show how great the Italian weather can be!

The day we arrived in Venice we went to Verona and saw Juliet's balcony and did all sorts of stuff thats supposed to hurry on your true love (p.s still waiting) then we went on to Venice. For our full day we did lots of Venicey stuff like watched lace making and glass blowing and of course had a gondola ride (in the rain) this was actually quite fun, as by now I was used to being satched. I serenaded the gondolier with 'Just one Cornetto' (If you don't know it, ask me to sing it some time) and serenaded Tam with 'You've lost that loving feeling'

Actually I really like Venice it was quite a kooky little place, but very quaint. Because it was raining, and the city is sinking, they had to put big planks up all through St Marks Square in case it flooded with the rain. There were a few places we walked by where you could see the water rising and starting to flood the streets... very wierd but quite cool. I have touristy photos that i'll put up as well, or I may just get onto this bugbitten majig that Kel uses, we shall see.

However what I do have is photos from our final night in Venice. We had a inpromptu hens and bucks night because one of our couples had their 6th wedding anniversary while we were away, so after we'd got onto our communal alcohol stash and the boys had made us a vodka watermelon we all seperated and had our rowdy nights. Halfway through the night, Brad (our married fella) and half the boys burst through the door with Brad wearing whats left of the
watermelon on his head. Truly hilarious, and I promise photos of this, I'm waiting for them to be sent out to me!
Later on we went on to the Fusina bar, which is at the campsite... great fun this night... unfortunately they tend to take photos and put them on a website.

After a few attiutude adjustors we all got a bit rowdy and got into the table dancing. Our boys took their tops off, which by this stage of the tour was happening more and more regularly.

Not to be outdone, we took our tops off. (and just quietly... the belt is from Nice... I now love it more than I love my black pixie boots, but still not quite as much as I love my cowboy boots)

Great fun, Mum was so proud of me when I text her the website to go and look at! So there is a snapshot of Venice. Pretty soon I'll get my arse into gear and start sticking some more pics up here for you lot, hopefully in more of a sensible order and not all half naked ones I promise!
